Robert B. Peddy, Jr.

Robert B. Peddy, Jr. was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida, graduating from Lakeland Senior High School in 1984. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1988 and his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 1991.

He is admitted to practice in the courts of Florida, the United States Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of the State of Florida, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Mr. Peddy’s courtroom career began as an Assistant State Attorney in the Tenth Judicial Circuit in Bartow, Florida, under State Attorney Jerry Hill. Over five years he tried numerous cases and was assigned to the special prosecution division for white-collar crime. In 1998 he joined the law firm of Wendel, Chritton & Parks, Chartered, practicing complex civil litigation, family law, and criminal defense; he became a named partner in 2000, when the firm became Wendel, Chritton, Parks, DeBari & Peddy, Chartered. He is AV Preeminent-rated by his peers — an honor reserved for a select group of attorneys recognized for legal ability and ethical standards.

On July 4, 2000, Mr. Peddy founded the Law Offices of Peddy, P.A., serving clients in family law and criminal defense. His thorough preparation, personal attention, and aggressive representation have carried him through cases and trials across the State of Florida.

Outside the courtroom, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending Lakeland Dreadnaughts football games, traveling, photography, diving, Florida lobster mini-season, and outdoor adventures.

Lily Rappeport, Esq.

Lily Rappeport was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida, graduating from Miami Beach Senior High School in 2011. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando in 2015, and her Juris Doctor from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Law in Orlando in 2020.

Mrs. Rappeport is admitted to practice law in the courts of Florida, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Her courtroom experience began in the legal aid sector in Polk County, Florida. During her time at legal aid, she worked under the Victims of Crime Act and advocated for victims unable to afford legal representation in family law matters, with a strong focus on injunction matters. She then practiced in the corporate sector, focusing on non-disclosure agreements, broker-carrier agreements, human resource policies, vendor agreements, and procurement contracts.

Mrs. Rappeport then joined the Law Offices of Peddy, P.A., where she assists clients in the areas of family law and criminal defense.

She is and has been heavily involved in the community, including the Lakeland Bar Association, the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association, EMERGE Lakeland (Committee Chair), the Junior League of Greater Lakeland, and Leadership Lakeland Class XLIII.

Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, going to Walt Disney World, traveling, competing in half marathons, reading, playing Mah Jong, trying new local food and coffee establishments, and playing with her dogs.
