Assault and Battery Defense
Assault and battery are two separate charges under Florida law, even though they’re often referred to together. Assault is a threat or action that puts someone in imminent fear of non-consensual contact and doesn’t require physical contact; battery is an actual harmful or offensive touching without consent. Defense strategies can include self-defense, defense of property, or defense of others.
